Overlooked-5.jpg

The opening reception of the current exhibition at the Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE), “Overlooked,” included a conversation between five of the exhibition’s nine artists. Among them, from left, were: Matt Storm, a photo-based artist who creates photographs, performances, installations and sculptures; Adriana Monsalve, cofounder with Caterina Ragg of Homie House Press, which is a “skeleton bones crew of femmes creating and publishing in the photo book medium;” and Helina Metaferia, an interdisciplinary artist working in performance, video, installation, and collage. Next to them, from left, were Lily Siegel, GRACE’s executive director and curator, and Erica Harrison, GRACE’s associate curator and festival director.
