Rachel Smith, a teacher at the Chantilly Academy, was arrested on May 8 for for possession of methamphetamine.

Fairfax County teacher charged with possessing methamphetamine

Police arrested a Fairfax County Public Schools teacher Rachel Smith on Thursday for possession of methamphetamine. Smith, 32, teaches at the Chantilly Academy. She resides at 47170 Brasswood Place in Sterling.

Fairfax County Police said that on May 8 around 11:30 p.m., officers observed Smith inside a vehicle parked near Bostwick Drive and Montgomery Street in the Annandale area. An investigation revealed she was allegedly attempting to purchase methamphetamine. Additional methamphetamine was also in her possession.

After her arrest, Smith was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
