Vienna's elections bring no surprises

 

In Vienna's uncontested May 6 Town election, Mayor Jane Seeman and Town Council members Laurie Cole, Edythe Kelleher and Mike Polychrones were all  re-elected for new two-year terms beginning July 1.  Seeman received 670 votes, Cole received  636,Kelleher rceived  666 and Polychrones received  607. A total of 745 Vienna residents voted in this election out of 10,691 active registered voters, a 7% voter turnout.One Fairfax County elction official described this year's turnout as "low , even for a town election."
