William and Mary senior Christo Landry - also a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology - was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association's Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's cross country, an award voted on by the 12-team league's sports information offices.
Landry, a double-major in economics and finance, won his first conference title this past season with a time of 23:58.9 seconds. A native of Falls Church, Landry finished fourth at the Southeast Regional meet and 13th at the NCAA Championships.
Even more impressive, Landry was voted as the CAA Athlete of the Year in cross country by the league's coaches.
Landry's award was the fifth consecutive such award for the Williamsburg-area school.
