The following is a list of upcoming productions and auditions in the Fairfax-Loudoun area. Productions: 'Tick, Tick..Boom.' The Elden Street Players present Jonathan Larson's 'Tick..Tick..Boom” through Aug. 23, at The Industrial Strength Theater, 209 Sunset Park Drive in Herndon.

This is a pop/rock musical that tells of a young composer, approaching a crossroad in life, his 30th birthday. His girlfriend wants to get married, leave the city and move to Cape Cod. His best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue and wants Jon to join corporate America; but Jon is still waiting tables while trying to write the great American musical before time and life pass him by.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Aug. 21-21.

Tickets are $22 general admission adults and $19 for senior citizens and students.

'Forbidden Broadway.' The New York cast of “Forbidden Broadway” goes on stage at 8 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 29, at The Robert Ames Alden Theatre in the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave. This is a Tony Award® -winning roast of Broadway musicals past and present. It features outrageous costumes, hilarious lyrics spoofing Broadway's best songs and madcap impressions of favorite Broadway stars. Tickets are $37, $30 for McLean tax district residents.

Theater anniversary: Springfield Community Theatre will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Friday, Nov. 21 held in the evening at the Springfield Country Club on Old Keene Mill Road

This event will provide food, entertainment, pictures and memorabilia from past SCT productions, door prizes and a silent auction.

The cost is $50.

'Trocadero.' “Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo” will be performed on stage Monday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. at the The Robert Ames Alden Theatre in the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave. Graceful dancers, tulle, pointe shoes and-is that chest hair?! These "Russian" ballerinas en travesti interpret classical and modern ballets combining a loving knowledge of dance with a wicked comedic sensibility. Auditions

Reston Chorale: The Reston Chorale will be auditioning all voice parts on Aug. 25-26 6:30- 9 p.m. at the Lake Anne Community Center, 1609 N. Washington Plaza, Suite A, in Reston.

'Forbidden Broadway.' The Reston Community Players are conducting auditions for “Forbidden Broadway: Friday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 6, at 2:30 p.m. At Lindsay Petersen Hall, 266 Sunset Park Drive, Sunset Business Park in Herndon.

Performances will be Nov. 8-23.

The director is Andy Regiec. There are roles for 4-6 performers between the ages of 20 and 50. The auditioners should prepare 16 bars of a comic song and be dressed to move.

Master Singers: The Master Singers of Virginia, directed by Erik Reid Jones, islooking for new members.

The group is one of the premier a cappella choral ensembles in Northern Virginia, concentrating on 20th- and 21st-century choral music. The Master Singers perform three major concert programs each season, as well as other engagements throughout Northern Virginia and the greater Washington, D.C., area. This will be the Master Singers' 14th season.

The concert series scheduled for this season includes Benjamin Britten's "A Boy Was Born," Francis Poulenc's "Mass in G Major," William Byrd's "Mass for Five Voices," and Shakespeare songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Frank Martin and Jaakko Mantyjarvi.
