Girls, pants and friendship
New challenges in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" allow the four young women to grow and recognize the importance of family, friends and, of course, “The Pants.” From Greece to Turkey and back to the United States, the sisterhood is starting more adventures.
A connection was made here with Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Blake Lively. They ARE the Sisterhood. They are so likable that you just can’t help but root for them at every turn.
Unfortunately, so much of the film is illogical. It’s amazing that the story can be so targeted to emotions, yet so scattered at the same time. I just wanted the filmmakers to acknowledge that we viewers are not stupid.
It is a serviceable sequel. I think women will enjoy it for the most part as it is emotionally centered and will definitely tug at you a bit. Friendship is much deeper than a pair of pants, but sometimes it takes a pair of pants to figure that out.
