Two fatal crashes in Centreville

There were two fatal crashes in the Centreville area over the weekend, one that killed a teenager and another that killed a motorcycle driver.

In the first accident a 19-year-old from Centreville was driving a 1998 BMW on Aug. 8 on Bull Run Post Office Road when it crashed into a tree, police said. His passenger, Cameron Dudley, 15, of Centreville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Saturday, Aug. 9, Ryan Hoffa, 26, of Centreville died after he lost control of the 2001 Honda motorcycle that he was riding on Fairview Park Drive. The accident occurred around 1 a.m., according to police.

There have now been 13 fatal crashes in Fairfax County in 2008, police said.
