Local chiropractic supports client's cause
Centreville's Barnes Chiropractic Health & Fitness is helping a client honor police officers who have died in the line of duty.John Barnes told Department of Housing and Urban Development Special Agent Kevin Whalen that he would give help him raise funds for his ride through special offers at the clinic, according to a press release.
Whalen will be riding May 1-12 from Georgia to Washington D.C. to raise money for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and officers who died in the line of duty. The Centreville resident began participating in the ride annually after Sully District police officers were Detective Vicky Armel and Master Police Officer Michael Garbarino were fatally shot at their station on May 8, 2006.
Barnes will be offering a wellness adjustment for $20 on April 23 and an initial visit special for $25 until May 12. Proceeds from both offers will go to sponsor Whalen.
“We are so excited to help Kevin with this extraordinary physical endeavor,” Barnes said in a statement. “I am so impressed by his physical and emotional commitment to this cause.”
