Stone Bridge lineman David Wang commits to VT

Stone Bridge High School junior David Wang, a 6-foot-2, 293-pound offensive/defensive lineman, has committed to attend and play football for Virginia Tech beginning in 2009, according to a report by Will Stewart at TechSideline.com.

David Wang is the brother of current Hokie Ed Wang, who was expected to start at right tackle in 2007 as a redshirt sophomore before breaking his left fibula in fall practices.

“For somebody close to 300 pounds, he is a great athlete,” Bulldog coach Mickey Thompson said about the younger Wang in the report. “He really does move well. Right now, I think his strong suit is on the offensive line. But he could be a college defensive lineman.”
