Reston man sentenced in pornography case

A Reston man was sentenced to 72 months in federal prison Friday for receiving child pornography via the Internet, U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenburg announced.

Barry Preston Good, 45, of Reston, Virginia, was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release, which will commence following the completion of his prison sentence. Good also was ordered to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction in which he lives or works.

Since 2003, according to court documents, Good has spent approximately $1,000 to subscribe to at least five commercial child pornography websites. Good told federal agents that he has been downloading child pornography from the Internet for approximately seven years. Federal agents recovered over 2,000 images of child pornography from Good’s residence that he had received from Web sites.

The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force members from the Fairfax County Police Department.
