The three finalists for the second annual Institute for Immigration Research New American Voices Award, Angie Kim from Miracle Creek, Eugenia Kim from The Kinship of Secrets, and Melissa Rivero from The Affairs of the Falcóns, will each read from their books before the grand prize is awarded. This award, judged by Reyna Grande, Alia Malek, and E.C. Osondu, illuminates the complexity of human experience as told by immigrants. Grande and Osondu will speak about their own experiences as an immigrant writers. Sponsored by the Institute for Immigration Research.
