MONDAY, MARCH 3 2008

Okay - in all of Fairfax  - so far this year 1179 residential properties have SOLD through our MRIS MLS. 1611 are UNDER CONTRACT. There is a whopping 6,841 residential units available! LAST YEAR 2,307 SOLD during this same period 01/01/07-03/03/07.  

WOW! This means comparing this year to last, we are less than half of the closings that occured last year. HOWEVER there are 1611 that are under contract yet to close. It is impossible to tell how many contracts there were last year at this time. 1611+1179=2,709. The big Q is do we add these numbers together? If so it looks GREAT. If not...

Just a few years ago the kitchen is what sold a house. Now that still may be true except that PRICE is what sells. Buyers are out there and you have to be in front of them. Marketing wise & price wise.
