Good Government is God’s Will
Prayer America's Strength and Shield

Today we are living in both financially and socially challenging times. It is by design and not by coincidence that we are all resident here in Loudoun County at this specific period in history. As Americans we enjoy the freedom to pray openly and proclaim God's Word publicly. Imagine praying together as His Word is read aloud in various locations about Loudoun County. There is a plan in progress to pray that God would touch hearts, transform lives and produce a Church revival in our community. We are calling it the Loudoun Awakening 2008. These series of events take place between April 26 and May 10 and are an unprecedented opportunity for Christians in Loudoun County and their churches and outreach ministries to unite together in an expression of prayer and unity around the National Day of Prayer and the Global Day of Prayer.
I believe it is time for our community to pray for unity in the Spirit of God for those who belong to Him. Pray that corporations and small business continue to provide good jobs for our citizens. Pray that each of us does our best in our employment and that God would bless our efforts as we are striving to do His will. Pray that corporate leaders have wisdom to follow in God's ways toward peace, freedom and the pursuit of happiness. Pray for our local elected officials to heed to God's wisdom in their legislation, judgments, and activities. Finally pray for the national election primaries and the overall election process to be a means of reflecting the blessings in following God's way. The results would be in electing good men and women to lead our country and its entire people during these ominous times.
