Dick Leggatt Visits Shepherd's Table at Lansdowne
Jack Stagman, President Loudoun Church Alliance invited all senior pastors, associate and youth pastors and their wives, ministry leaders and faith based non-profit organizations and business leaders to the monthly Shepherd’s Table. The featured guest speaker was Dick Leggatt, President of Derek Prince Ministries who spoke on Thursday April 3 at Prison Fellowship in Lansdowne. Dick Leggatt was pleased to have the opportunity to discuss the importance of the Loudoun Awakening Initiative in the area of prayer and fasting. Those attending the luncheon received a complementary book titled “Shaping History through Prayer and Fasting” written by Derek Prince.
Dick Leggatt is President of Derek Prince Ministries (DPM), an international non-profit organization extending the biblical teaching legacy of Derek Prince throughout the world. Dick’s prior work experience includes positions as: Director of National Development for Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio; stock broker with Johnson Financial Group; Vice President of the Ohio Roundtable, a public policy organization formerly affiliated with Focus on the Family; and Editor of New Wine Magazine. Throughout his various careers in media, marketing, public relations, and political involvement, Dick has consistently maintained a focus on building networks of relationships among corporate leaders and providing biblical encouragement to members of the business community. Dick and his wife Cindi presently reside in Charlotte, NC and are the parents of four grown children.
The late Derek Prince (1915-2003) was one of the most respected Bible scholars of the past century. Others guest speakers included the Reverend Tom Simmons of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Purcellville, VA. who presented an enlightened update on the Loudoun Healthy Marriage Initiative. Gary Bergel, President of Intercessors for America, co-founded by Derek Prince and celebrating its 35th year of service, introduced his long-time friend and working associate Dick Leggatt.
The Shepherd’s Table meets every first Thursday of each month at 11 AM to 12:30 PM. Each month one of the member Churches sponsors the luncheon. Non-profit leaders are encouraged to attend this monthly meeting.
