This past week was a very busy one in the world of High School Baseball around Fairfax County. Annandale lost a hard fought 8-7 battle against Hayfield, which marks their second loss in the last five games. Lake Braddock got off to a dominating start to Spring Break as they easily dismantled Grace Academy 12-5 last Saturday morning. The Bruins are now 13-1 on the season, having also defeated South County last Thursday on Senior Night, only to lose to Centreville on Monday.
Another matchup was Centreville squaring off against South County, which ended in a decisive 4-2 win over the Stallions. Robinson’s Friday night matchup against West Springfield was postponed to the 27th of this month due to poor weather that night. Woodson’s bad luck continued as they fell 9-7 against Chantilly on the road which continues their winless season. All of these teams are now about to embark on a week long tournament in South Carolina over Spring Break for Fairfax County schools and they’ll return home later in the upcoming week.
