Are you thankful for the many blessings in your life? I know I am! Blessings are special gifts to always be thankful for. What are you thankful for?

I am thankful for the pawsome humans at PetConnect Rescue who found me at a North Carolina shelter and decided to come get me and save me from something else. What? I don’t know but my human says it’s not good and he doesn’t like to discuss it. I’m also thankful for Pilots-N-Paws who flew me to waiting arms at PetConnect Rescue.

I am thankful for my foster mom who taught me to eat and drink properly from a bowl, to use a napkin and eating utensils without making a mess. For a human, she did a pawsome job – BARK! She taught me to go outside to do my business and share gifts with the universe instead of just her!

I am thankful for my humans who adopted me. I was nervous and unsure about the nerdy skinny guy but the lady was beautifully pawsome. She told him to adopt me and take me home because I was incredibly cute, adorable, and goofy!

I am thankful for a home, my crate, running water, air-conditioning, heating, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, artwork, and mom’s best blankies!

I am thankful for belly rubs, ear scratches, long walks, car rides, trips to the beautiful states of North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and West Virginia, for delicious treats and food, bowls of water, and my computer where I write my articles! WOOF!

I am thankful for the opportunity to go railfanning with my humans and become one of the guys! I love watching Norfolk Southern locomotives roll by!

I am thankful for my cat cousins Max and Zoey and my human Aunt Prissyface and Uncle TallGuy who I pawsitively love going to visit.

I am thankful for a neighborhood to walk my human and read all the pee-mail left by my dog friends which lets me know how they are doing.

I am thankful for this really beautiful young Rottweiler named Katy who keeps my attention! And, uh, yeah, I think I keep hers too! WOOF! I am thankful for her human who keeps her in F-I-N-E shape!

I am thankful for my pawsome readers who read my work every week. You are barkingly grand humans. Barks, after all, how often do you get to read an article written by a smart, pawsome dog? WOOF!

I will be thankful for the piece of ham my human “accidentally” drops every Thanksgiving and Christmas for me to eat. Pawlease don’t tell her I know! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

My friends at PetConnect Rescue brought by a few friends for you to meet and possibly adopt!

Meet Wally; a one-year-old, Plott Hound mix. He is full of energy and is a fun-loving guy who is elated to be looking for his forever home! Since he is so playful, he would not be a good fit for a home with an older dog since he might drive the dog nuts! With his playful nature, he is not a good match for a human gone an entire workday.

Wally is great with other dogs and loves mini-humans. He loves romping with his human and canine foster siblings. Wally’s ideal home will have a yard for him to run and play.

Meet Samson; a handsome, eight-month-old Husky/Lab mix! He has a wonderful personality to match those amazing blue eyes! He’s a smart, playful, energetic and fun-loving fellow who is a pleasure to be around. Samson is great with other dogs and loves everyone he meets.

Samson is looking for an active family who will include him in their adventures.

Meet sisters Hope and Hannah! They are hoping to get adopted together after being rescued together as they want to spend their lives, well, together! MEOW! The pair enjoys playing with toy mice, wrestling, racing each other, and climbing the cat tree. Hannah enjoys sitting on the windowsill watching the birds and keeping you company on the couch while watching TV or while you work at your computer. The ladies have pawsome litterbox manners. These sweet kitties need an adopter who will be home most of the day to care of them.

PetConnect Rescue dogs and cats are healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, and preventatives.
