Two McLean homes have made the Propertyshark.com list of the 10 most expensive homes currently for sale in Virginia. The one pictured above is a 15,295-square-foot home featuring a wine cellar with tasting area and bar, formal dining room, billiards room, home theater, outdoor kitchen, pool, outdoor spa, patio and poolside lounge, artist studio, library, nine fireplaces and a 6-car garage. Asking price: $13,000,000.

Ranging in price from $11,975,000 to $33,000,000, all 10 ostentatious estates are located in pricey neighborhoods throughout the Commonwealth (emphasis on wealth, not on common) from McLean to Charlottesville, including a few in neighboring Loudoun County. Farming operations and equestrian facilities abound, including legendary racehorse breeding stables, meticulously renovated 18th century manor houses and historic homes that once caught the eye of both a Chrysler magnate, and a former Goldman Sachs principal.
