In Montgomery County, Musical Arts International will present its annual holiday family concert, featuring special guest the Barclay Brass Quintet, at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 9545 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring. Members of the U.S. Air Force Band, The Barclay Brass has performed throughout the region for almost a decade. Its repertoire includes patriotic and classical music, as well as ceremonial and seasonal selections. The program will include a performance of American composer Percy Grainger’s Suite, as well as Victor Ewald’s “Second Brass Quintet,” selections from “West Side Story” and songs of the holiday season. Voices 21 will kick off its 14th season with a festive Christmas concert at Christ Episcopal Church, 6800 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia, and again at 3 p.m. Sunday at Chevy Chase United Methodist Church, 7001 Connecticut Ave., Chevy Chase. The program will feature Johannes Brahms’ choral masterpiece “Es ist das Heil uns kommen her,” as well as the Renaissance motets “O Magnum Mysterium” by Clemens non Papa and “Ab Oriente Venerunt Magi” by Jacob Handl. Contemporary arrangements of favorite carols such as “Silent Night” and “Angels We Have Heard on High” will also be enjoyed. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted. In Prince George’s County, Burtonsville’s Church of the Resurrection will host its 16th annual Holiday Craft Fair and Winterfest from 3-9 p.m. tonight and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, Greencastle Road and Old Columbia Pike. More than 80 crafters and vendors are slated to participate, and the event will feature a silent auction, Breakfast with Santa and much more. Admission is free. Audiences will believe in Santa Claus this weekend, when the Tantallon Community Players bring the holiday favorite “Miracle on 34th Street” to life at the Harmony Hall Regional Center in Fort Washington.
