Fair Oaks Mall kicked off the 4711 Lunar New Year last weekend with a two-day festival that included more than 200 performers representing nearly a dozen different nations.

This year’s event, which was hosted by the Hai Hua Community Center and marked the year of the snake, featured traditional Chinese dragon dances; a wide range of music and dance performances; a martial arts exhibit and a colorful lantern festival. Among the countries being represented were China, Korea, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Mongolia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
