Linganore Winecellars in Mount Airy will be hosting a T-shirt design competition for their 2013 Caribbean and Reggae Wine Festivals.

Participants can use any two dimensional media to create a design for the festivals. The winning artist’s work will be reproduced on posters, T-shirts, brochures and other promotional materials for the festivals. A winning design and five honorable mentions will be chosen by the winery from submitted designs.

The annual festivals are scheduled to be held from noon to 6 p.m., May 25-26, July 20-21 and Oct.19-20 at Linganore Winecellars at 13601 Glissans Mill Road. All festivals will feature live music, tasting of 19 different wines, guided winery tours, fine art and craft vendors and food vendors. Admission is $20 per person and includes the tastings, a souvenir wine glass, guided winery tour and the full day of live music. Tickets for those 18-20 years old are $15 and children under 18 are free with an adult, according to the winery’s website.

The selected artist will also receive four tickets to a festival, $50 of wine and two shirts. Artists must be at least 21 to enter the competition. All entries must be submitted to the winery by 5 p.m. March 1.
