A longtime Maryland businessman will be releasing his memoir in Sykesville this month.
John F. Feezer Jr., 93, of Sykesville will host a book signing for his new book “Life Well-Lived, Well-Loved and Well-Earned: The Memoirs of John F. Feezer Jr.” Feb. 16 in the Jozie Lounge at the Fairhaven Retirement Community, at 7200 Third Ave.
The event will be held from 1-3 p.m.
In the book, Feezer chronicles his life in business, from helping on his father’s “huckster” route selling produce in Baltimore city, to starting and running a highly regarded infrastructure contracting company and investing in and developing real estate throughout the area. He also tells stories of growing up without indoor plumbing, meeting the woman of his dreams and serving in the Navy in World War II.
Books will be available for a donation of $25 or more at the signing. The proceeds will be given to the R. Wayne Feezer Memorial Foundation, established in memory of Jack’s son, Wayne, who died in 1998. The foundation supports a variety of charitable causes in the region. Feezer will match all donations.
