The citizens of Fairfax County should realize how fortunate we are to have such a dedicated, and efficient staff at our Board of Elections. Those hard working people decipher and implemented a maze of ever changing election law to deliver a fair, honest, and legal election result.

Having worked as an election officer for several years I am always impressed by their professionalism and their ability to anticipate and respond to situations. If we thought we needed a supply, look in the cart, someone has already provided the item.

Now that the election is over one would think they are sitting back and taking a rest. I believe they are already assessing the conduct of the election and planning ways to improve.
