I was shocked to see Supervisor Pat Herrity's sanctimonious letter (Fairfax winning battle against illegally placed campaign signs) where he takes credit for minimizing campaign signs in the medians of our roadways when he is one of the worst sign offenders during a multitude of primary and general elections he has run since 2007.
In Herrity's primary and general election campaigns for supervisor in 2007, unsuccessful campaign for chairman in 2009, his unsuccessful campaign for Congress in 2010, and his supervisor campaign of 2011, this perpetual candidate's signs blanketed the roadways of our county. I also found it quite amusing and very hypocritical that Herrity said he was working on this issue in December 2011, only a few weeks after his signs littered the median strips for his fifth campaign in four years.
This is a case of the pot calling the kettle black, and calls into question the Springfield supervisor's motives on this matter.
