Board approves taxi fare increase

The new rate goes into effect Nov. 3. Permanent taxicab fare rates last were raised in October 2008.

Factors considered in the rate increase included gas prices, demand for taxicab drivers’ licenses and the rates of surrounding jurisdictions.
