Prince George’s County police arrested and charged Nathan Cedric Rogers, 22, of District Heights with first-degree murder Saturday in the stabbing death of Jasmine Nichelle Moss, 23, of Oxon Hill, who was pregnant.
Around 7 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 7100 block of Mason Street in District Heights for a report of a suspicious vehicle, according to a Prince George’s Police Department news release.
Officers found the body of Moss, of the 4900 block of Maury Place in Oxon Hill, who had been stabbed in the upper body.
Moss and Rogers had been involved in a relationship, and Moss was pregnant, according to the release.
County police did not immediately respond to a call for comment Sunday morning about the length of her pregnancy.
Homicide detectives identified Rogers, of the 6900 block of Halleck Street in District Heights, as the suspect, according to the release.
Rogers was arrested Saturday and charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and first-degree assault, according to online court records.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 25, according to court records, which did not list an attorney for Rogers.
