This is a letter of recognition for Correctional Officer First Class Brian Gillingham and his outstanding effort to assist people with finding employment. He helps men and women find jobs for the work-release program while incarcerated, and when people are allowed to attend rehab programs during their sentencing.

I was personally assisted by Correctional Officer Gillingham and was amazed with his persistence and how he followed up consistently. He personally set up interviews and drove me to them. When I was in rehab he continually made contact with me to make sure he was doing all he could to help me find employment.

I would like to let the people of St. Mary’s County, his fellow officers and Sheriff Tim Cameron know what a great job he is doing. He has treated everyone with respect and dignity. I would like to thank all involved in giving incarcerated individuals a chance to better themselves, and Correctional Officer Gillingham for the extra effort he has given to move my life in a better direction.
