Prince George’s County police are investigating the Tuesday night shooting death of a District Heights man scheduled to go on trial in June for first-degree murder, according to online court records.
Ronald Jarohn Minor, 18, of the 6900 block of Walker Mill Road was found shot just after 8 p.m. outside an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Addison Road South in unincorporated District Heights, according to county police.
Minor, who later died at a hospital, was one of four men charged with the Nov. 15, 2011, homicide of 31-year-old Marvin Tomlinson of District Heights, according to county police. Minor was scheduled to go on trial in Prince George’s County Circuit Court and also faces multiple counts of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in the Nov. 15 homicide, according to online Prince George’s County District Court records.
Minor’s defense attorney, Greenbelt-based Robert Bonsib, declined to comment on the details of the litigation or Minor’s death. There was no number listed at Minor’s address.
Police are still trying to identify a suspect and a motive, and the shooting is still under investigation, said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a county police spokesman.
