What began as a barricade situation around 3 p.m. Sunday at a Clinton home ended as a suicide about two and a half hours later, when a man was found dead inside the home, Prince Georgeís County police said.

Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, a county police spokesman, said he did not know how the man killed himself. The barricade was in the 9600 block of Quiet Brook Lane, a residential street lined with townhomes bordering the southbound lanes of Branch Avenue.

Police have not yet released the manís identity.

Rodriguez did not have further information by Monday morning.
