Through her paintings, Lori Anne Boocks seeks to map connections between memories, and document what remembering looks like. She earned a bachelor's degree in fine art from Old Dominion University in 1992. Her influences include Cy Twombly, Anselm Kiefer, Nancy Spero and Chinese calligraphy. She lives and paints in Germantown, Md., and is represented by Studio Gallery in Washington, D.C., and Adah Rose Gallery in Kensington, Md.
